Fishing Derby

Saturday, October 1, 2022, 9:00am - 11:30am, Heritage Park

Put on your bucket hat and grab your favorite lures, it’s time for the Fishing Derby! Register and see if you can catch the heaviest fish in your age bracket. All participants will receive a goodie bag, name tag, and door prize ticket. Worms and buckets will be provided at the event. Don’t think you have what it takes to win? Just remember, any-fin is possible if you don’t trout yourself!

Harvest Fest

Saturday, October 1, 2022, 12:00pm - 4:00pm, Heritage Park

Hay there! Come out to Heritage Park for a Harvest Fest that is fun for all ages! There is plenty more to do at the fest like enjoy the craft tent, hang out in the kids inflatable fun zone go for a hay ride, or listen the live music. Concessions are available for purchase (cash only). Want to win big? Sign up for the bags tournament, the chili cook off, wing eating contest or the hot pepper eating contest and win big!

Harvest Fest: Chili Cook Off

Saturday, October 1, 2022, 12:01pm - 2:00pm, Heritage Park

Celebrate Autumn's arrival at Harvest Fest! Chili must be prepared prior to arrival (approximately 3 gallons is recommended) and warmed in competitor's devices such as camping stoves. Electricity will not be provided. Tasting/voting will take place from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Voting is open to all attendees age 10 and up.

1st Place: $100 cash
2nd Place: $50 cash
3rd Place: Gift Basket

Harvest Fest: Bags Tournament

Saturday, October 1, 2022, 12:30pm - 2:30pm, Heritage Park

Celebrate Autumn's arrival at Harvest Fest! The Bags Tournament will take place from 12:30pm to 4:00pm. Tournament length based on number of teams participating and format. SCORING: 1pt on board, 3pts through hole. First to 21 wins. Cancellation scoring is in effect. Exact score of 21 is not necessary and do not have to win by 2 points.

1st Place: $150 cash
2nd Place: $75 cash
3rd Place: Gift Basket

Family Health & Safety Fair

It's almost time for our Annual Family Health & Safety Fair! Head on over to the Sports Hub on Wednesday, Oct. 5th from 5:00pm - 7:30pm and learn various ways to keep yourself and your family healthy and safe. Local organizations will be present with educational material, promotional items, live demonstrations, and various health screenings. Limited flu shots will also be available to the public at the start of the event.

At-Home Pumpkin Carving Contest

Put your creativity to the test! Carve and decorate the best pumpkin using the materials provided for a chance to win a $50 gift card and 4 passes to this years Haunted Trail! Completed pumpkins will be posted to the Sports Hub. Facebook page for voting. Voting will take place from 10/24 - 10/28. Winner will be announced on 10/28. Contest Kit pickup date: 10/17

Pajama Movie Night: Coco

Put on your coziest pajamas, wrap yourself in your fluffiest blanket, and grab your comfiest chair and join us in watching Coco at the Sports Hub! Doors open at 6:30 pm and the movie will start at 7:00 pm. Concessions are available for purchase (cash only).

Sports Hub Halloween Spook-tacular Weekend:
Haunted Trail

Saturday, October 29, 2022, 6:00pm - 9:00pm, Reskin Park

The frights are back and better than ever at this years Haunted Trail! Groups will be led on a guided walk through the trails six hair-raising scenes which are home to the most menacing and creepy creatures Glendale Heights has ever seen. Beware, you may encounter a few surprises along the way. Tours will run every 10 minutes. Kid friendly tours (less interaction) will run from 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm.

Santa Claus is coming to town! Join us at the Glendale Lakes Golf Club for a delicious Breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Fill your plate as high as you can at the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast then wash it down with a swig of coffee or juice. Family photos can been taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus which are perfect for a Christmas card.
