We will travel to Lilacia Park in Lombard for “Lilac Time”, a
blooming festival happening during the first two weeks of
May. Following a Lilac Heritage Tour, the Lombard Garden
Club will be conducting a sale of fragrant Lilac bushes. Shop a
large selection of at least 15 different cultivars. Fee includes tour and
transportation.

Located along Spring Creek in Rockford, the Anderson Japanese
Gardens is an authentic 12-acre Japanese Garden very carefully designed
and patiently pruned according to aesthetic principals to create a work
of natural art that inspires calm, renewal, discovery and an invigorated
soul. We will spend the day touring the gardens. You may bring a
lunch or purchase one on-site at Fresco at The Gardens. Fee includes
admission and transportation.

Pick out a piece of pottery, pick the paint colors. Sit down and
paint your piece of pottery. The process is extremely simple.
It’s art therapy for the young and old! Your piece will be available
for pick up at the Sports Hub 8/12. Your finished item is microwave,
dishwasher, and oven safe. Finished pottery is non-toxic so it’s safe to eat
from. An additional fee applies for larger pieces (fee may be paid via card
or Apple pay on site).

Experience something new and fun when you’re a passenger aboard the
Sainte Genevieve Riverboat as it passes through the Starved Rock Lock
on the Illinois Waterway. Lunch in the Main Dining Room of historic
